Cane Gala Ball

We were thrilled to welcome 250 guests to this sold out event at Beenleigh Event Centre for our community night of nights in 2021.
The beautifully decorated room sparkled as guests entered in awe of the setting in front of them. The stage adorned with a huge CANE GALA lit up on stage set the scene for the evening.
Attendees feasted on a tantalizing 3-course menu crafted from local produce including items from Gold Coast Tiger Prawns, Golden Cockerel, Teys Australia, Thrive Microgreens, Bee All Natural and Beenleigh Rum, while sipping on delectable De Bortoli Wines.
Entertainment on the evening was provided by The Joyners, who due to COVID and restrictions had not had a gig together in some months - and they ensured the crowd was ready and able to party!
Sugar Sweet Stories

Congratulations to JETT JAMES (Yr 11) from Windaroo Valley State High School who won our Sugar Sweet Stories logo search competition, judged by local artist Donald James Waters OAM
Sugar Sweet Stories is an exciting new youth literacy project, organised by the combined service clubs of Quota Beenleigh, Rotary Club of Beenleigh and Soroptimist International Beenleigh.
The concept for this project was born from discussions with the Gala Ball committee made up of representatives from Rotary, Quota and Soroptimist on how we would handle any funds raised from the auction and raffles this evening, and it is hoped that this will be an ongoing yearly project of the service clubs – supporting youth literacy in our area.
Depending on monies raised we hope to commission a local history story book by Local Author Karen Tyrell for primary school children starting in the cane fields on a yearly basis. Books with local history or written by local authors will be included in the selection of books distributed.
